Welcome!

I am a lifelong Washington State resident, born in Tacoma and raised in various northwest towns. I currently live and run my business from my home studio in Gig Harbor.

After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pacific Lutheran University in 1990, I kept producing and showing my original artwork. Also during this period I worked as a part-time commercial painter and began experimenting with custom finishes. In 1993 I began a decorative painting business which specializes in wall glazes, trompe l'oeil, and murals for residential and commercial spaces. I also create paintings and illustrations finished to client specifications on material such as canvas, hardboard, plaster, furniture, and paper. Finished projects are mostly found in Puget Sound homes and businesses, with some as far away as Oregon, southern California, Arizona, and Hawaii.

I have continued to be active in my own artistic projects and mix media such as acrylic, ink, pencil, and photographs (called "Mixed Media"). I photograph incessantly (have a camera with me at all times) and paint small paintings and handbags. A latest endeavor, in response to downsizing and the need for small art for small spaces, is a series of hand painted and magnetized recycled compact discs (called "ReMixes").

Therefore, this website is divided into two sections. The first representing my decorative painting business (headlined by "Decorative Painting") and the second is personal work (such as Photography, Mixed Media, and ReMixes).
