"Mixed-up Media"
A picture can represent many possible ideas unseen by the viewer. Using spontaneoulsy shot photos as a jumping off point, I let these ideas find their way out past the picture's edge. Sometimes clear sometimes blurry, the chosen photos always contain some thread of interest, either through color and/or structure, that guides in these "extensions". Connecting until the viewer can not instantly tell where the photo ends and the drawing begins, I first use ink to develop the idea then acrylics to blend the color.
